Hasty Tortoise Crochet

One thing I love about cats is their ability to nap anywhere. But this doesn’t mean they don’t have preferred napping spots (like your basket of clean laundry.) There’s definitely something about this cozy jumbo yarn that cats absolutely love! I can barely finish a bed before one of my cats or foster kittens is climbing in to make biscuits and curl up. 🥰

This little foster kitten was more than willing to test out one of my kitten beds before it was even finished!

I started selling these beds about two years ago at Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe in Fishers, Indiana. Since they first hit the shelves, I have to drop off more every few weeks as they still sell out, with many reports of happy cats! (If you’re in the area, stop by and pick one up for your feline friend; they come in multiple sizes and colors. Plus, the cafe itself is absolutely adorable, and the cats are adoptable!)

After numerous requests for the pattern, I opened my Hasty Tortoise Crochet Etsy shop and posted the Cat Bed Pattern (in Adult and Kitten sizes), along with a few patterns of my more popular cat hats.

The newest addition to my cat bed patterns is the Cat Carrier Bed. Everyone knows that cats hate going into the dreaded carrier! Make their ride much more cozy with this Cat Carrier Bed, made of the same cat-favorite yarn as my popular Large Cat Bed Pattern! This finished rectangular bed measures 19” by 12”, the perfect size for most cat carriers, window beds, and cat shelves. The yarn used is also machine washable and dry-able (a must for those occasional accidents!)
