Most of us know of Carl Sagan from his television series, “Cosmos.” He was an amazing science communicator and had a gift for bringing the wonders of the universe to armchair enthusiasts like myself.
He was instrumental in the start of SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) and consulted with NASA on numerous other astrophysical/biological pursuits.
Enjoy contemplating some of Sagan’s shared wisdom about the cosmos while creating a star-themed mandala. Of course, what better place to start than with the “pale blue dot?”
I invite you to find a comfortable chair, turn off the distractions, ready your yarn and hook and take a deep breath. Read each quote, passage, or mantra at the start of each round, and focus your attention on the thoughts and feelings that arise. Let those thoughts and feelings flow as your mind and hands are captured by each stitch.
